Plovdiv's regional mayors from GERB Peter Petrov, Zdravko Dimitrov, Rayna Petrova and Ina Filipova and the member of the Bulgarian national assembly, Stefan Dedev visited Brussels following the invitation of the member of the European Parliament Emil Stoyanov. The regional mayors were introduced to the work of Mr Stoyanov at the European Parliament and had a series of meetings with other MEPs, in order to establish personal contacts of benefit their work. The main focus of their visit was the utilization of project funds from the European Union's programs. "It is essential for Plovdiv to use all instruments of financing, which the EU offers for cultural projects, as well as for projects in the area of education and energy" said Emil Stoyanov.
